Thanks to some tips that showed up in the WiiTracker a slightly different version of the Wii mainboard have appeared. Special thanks go to both otbmods.com and phuongmods.com for not only pointing out the new board in the notes filed but also providing contact information and pictures of the new revision.

The new mainboards apparently have a blue-ish tint to their color as opposed to the regular green colored mainboards. In addition to the different color they are also missing one of the solder points including the trace to that solder point used by some modchips. Namely this effects solder point #3 of the Wiikey install, interesting enough that point is NOT used by most, if not all, other modchips. It's curious if this was done intentionally to thwart Wiikey installations or simply an unhappy consequence of a board optimization. It is unknown at this time if there are any other changes present in these consoles.

For those intersted in knowing whether or not their console has one of these new board revisions: according to the WiiTracker data this new revision effect North American consoles starting with LU519xxxxxx and higher serial numbers.

These have hit the UK too.  Came across one this afternoon, LEH1324xxxxx.
Added the extra wire, no problems.

Incidentally, the pad that leg is soldered to goes nowhere, as I found out when I accidentally detached it from the board Embarrassed

I have now, along with 3 other Wiis, two of which were missing the pad.
Earliest new board I've come across now is LEH1319xxxxx

It'll work. It'll apparently require some type of wire install though.

Going under the assumption that you mean D2C, Wiikey will not work.

If you mean GC2, then it matters what comes after that. DMS, D2A, D2B, D2C. All will work but D2C.
